Broccoli City Fest

It all started when...

A friend of mines called and said "Let's go to Cuba to escape the chaos in DC during the Inauguration." Cuba has always been a place I've wanted to visit but due to restrictions I never expected to  see, taste and feel it in this lifetime. Boy was I wrong, thanks to Obama, I'm ecstatic that I was able to visit this lovely place. I'm sure you've heard that it's like going back in time and it certainly is. Once the plane landed I felt the love immediately. I wasn't nervous going into this adventure. I had no worries about losing contact with family and friends back home. I stayed with locals who has now become family. The neighborhood felt like home. While in Cuba, I met new friends and gained great experiences. The vibrant culture is addictive. Cubans are extremely intellectual and kind hearted. Though most of them do not have much, they'll try their very best to show you the time of your life. It has become my home away from home. I plan to revisit Cuba in the near future.
